I would especially like to recognize Loan Officer Linda Ogata. Please let her know her support of the Loan Guarantee Program is indeed appreciated. We recognize that a loan issued under the guarantee program represents a vital community investment tool that provides opportunity for small businesses to grow. In fact, the program guaranteed 650 loans to small businesses for a total loan amount of $82 million. Those businesses went on to create or retain 15,000 jobs. Without this program many businesses, including those owned by disadvantaged individuals, would have no alternatives.
