Loan Officer Laura Maffei and Ron Ashwanden of Pacific State Bank received the USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT-CALIFORNIA RURAL BUSINESS LENDER OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR 3003, recognizing the bank for its strong commitment to working with local communities in improving the economy for rural businesses and families in San Joaquin county.

Don and Karyn Litchfield, from Vino Piazza Winery were also on hand to receive the USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT-CALIFORNIA RURAL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR 2003 from Venosdel. The development presents a colorful Old World Italian Villa appearance, with a wine connoisseur ambiance and conducive to amenities such as wine tasting events and group tours.

"We are pleased to honor the Pacific State Bank and the Vino Piazza as outstanding examples of positive partnerships between a dedicated community bank, a strong local business and the guaranteed financing of the federal government," said Venoadel.
